Reusable Resources & Creative Materials
For teachers, parents, youth groups & artists
Creative Materials & Resources by the Pound
Our mission is to awaken people to their creative potential through cooperative effort, while promoting an ethic of conservation and reuse of valuable reusable resources.
The St. Louis Teachers’ Recycle Center, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to keeping creative materials and reusable resources out of landfills and putting them in the hands of children, teachers, artists and others for creative and intellectual development.
We advocate educational excellence for the benefit of children through interactive, hands-on experiential learning.
Our resource centers are funded by these great programs:
Children & Adult Workshops
With hands-on activities and curriculum, we help children and adults think creatively and communicate effectively across emotional, cultural and socioeconomic barriers.
Art & Play Studios
Play Your Art Out is a place for all ages to experience and develop respect for each other and our planet through art and play. Located in Chesterfield Mall.
Private Events
Celebrate your birthday or other special event with us! We’ll organize a fun, guided play and art session followed by a party, complete with a reflective slideshow of your special day.
Unburied Treasure Store
Seek & find treasures of many kinds at our Unburied Treasure Store in the Play Studio. We saved these from being buried so you could discover, imagine and play at home.
