Fall Fest: A Native Plant Sale & Sustainability Fair in Creve Coeur

VanGo will be making an appearance at this event. Come out and see the recycle center in action!

Meet experts in Sustainable Living and explore the beauty of hardy Missouri Native Plants!

Three local organizations and host, Church of the Open Word,  will hold a native plant sale on Sunday, October 12, at 1040 Dautel Lane in Creve Coeur, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. to celebrate a new Nature Trail Conservation Easement with Open Space STL.

Presented by the Sustainable Backyard Network, Open Space St. Louis and Nature Partners Foundation, the event is free and open to all.

Three native plant vendors will sell wildflowers, grasses, and shrubs and donate a portion of their proceeds to support the construction of the Church’s new walking trail.

“Landscaping with Missouri native plants is one of the best things homeowners can do to support healthy environments and add beauty to their yards,” says Carol Davit, Executive Director of the Missouri Prairie Foundation, one of the organizations tabling at the event.

Shoppers may purchase specific plants in advance and pick them up at the Sale, or browse the selection on hand for new ideas.

The following vendors are accepting pre-orders. When placing your pre-orders, please include your phone number and note that the order is for the Church of the Open Word Sale on October 12.
